Tuberculosis (TB) remains a major public health challenge in Southeast Asia, which accounts for nearly half of the global TB burden. Despite substantial progress, ASEAN member states continue to face persistent barriers—including underdiagnosis, drug resistance, and limited access to advanced diagnostic tools—particularly in low-resource and border settings.
In response to these shared challenges, Universitas Indonesia, under the ASEAN Research Collaborative Fund (ARCF) and as part of the ASEAN Medical Schools Network (AMSN), is launching the ASEAN for Tuberculosis Coalition (ASEAN4TB)—a regional collaboration platform dedicated to accelerating innovation, strengthening capacity, and advancing equitable TB research across ASEAN.
The scientific event will cover the following key areas:
- TB diagnostics
- TB screening
- TB treatment innovation
- TB management
- TB and comorbidities
- TB prevention
- AI-assisted technologies for TB
- Maternal and child TB
- TB policy and clinical implementation
- Health and well-being post TB
- TB and nutrition
